Given her belief in the importance of effective medical communication, Dr. Rivet is thrilled to be part of the team developing FCS. She developed a passion for communication through her palliative care training and conversations with patients and families navigating serious illness. A colorectal surgeon, Dr. Rivet personally sees the importance of communication in her own work, where these skills can help support patients in overcoming the shame and stigma associated with many colorectal conditions.
