Lauren Taylor, MD

Thoracic Surgeon, Central Virginia VA Health Care System

Dr. Taylor is a thoracic surgeon and researcher interested in improving care for older adults facing decisions about major surgery. She has worked with Dr. Schwarze on a variety of projects including the Best Case/Worst Case communication framework, which incorporates her background in economics and strategic decision-making. She believes that surgeons face unique communication challenges that make formal communication training an essential piece of surgical education. She is excited to be a part of FCS and help bring this important training to surgical residents.
